In the Rain

Ian and I decided to see Dear John after work today.

It has terrible reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, but we have few choices when it comes to indulging in our favorite past time.

The movie was alright.  The actors out acted their script, making it bearable to watch.  I'm a big fan of Amanda Seyfried and I'm certain Channing Tatum will eventually be cast as something other than the all American soldier with a dark(ish) past and a heart of gold.

I got caught in the rain while I was waiting for a taxi down the street from the Sinback campus.  It wasn't raining when I left for work, so I didn't bring an umbrella.  As it later turned out, someone may have stolen our umbrella, anyway.  So, I stood in the rain, waiting for an elusive taxi.  I had been standing in the rain for about 15 minutes when an SUV pulled up and the passenger side window rolled down.  It was Michelle (one of the Korean teachers at Sinback).  She asked me where I was going and when I told her TTC (Techno Town Cinema), she told me to get in.  She was headed to her father's work, so she dropped me off alond the way.  She even let me borrow her umbrella to cross the street.

That's probably one of the most randomly human things that has happened to me here.

Tomorrow Ian and I are heading to Wonju with Amy and Ben to see Alice in Wonderland in 3D.  I'm really excited.  It looks like there might even be Subway sandwiches involved.

Good night!
